Educators, workforce training providers, and economic development leaders need a realistic picture of the labor market and its projected future in order to make informed decisions. Unfortunately, available labor data and projections suffer from severe limitations, such as the false assumption that past trends will continue into the future.
CLCR proposes a primary research study on the demand for CNC/machinist, industrial maintenance, and welding occupations. This study will be constructed around a panel of companies we can measure every six months, painting a continuous picture of changing demand in critical occupations.
